Hi, I'm Giulia

A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Italy wasn't in the grand plan. Like many expat journeys, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, high expectations. Daily chores seemed more challenging than expected.
The Recovery Phase
There was culture shock, doubt, and a lot of learning on the go. Gradually, habits settled in. We found places that fit us, met other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built Harbor Reef Amber
Most online guides were either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to close that gap — practical guidance drawn from real-life experiences in Italy.
